Would you like to see amazing animals in the wild up close? If the answer is yes, then you are in the right place!

I am a massive animal lover and one of my favorite reasons to travel is to see different animals in their natural environments around the world. In this post, you will find some of the most epic places to see animals around the world.

Galápagos Islands

These islands are located 500 miles off the coast of Ecuador and are home to some of the most unique and beautiful animals in the world, including the Galápagos Giant Tortoise.

Galapagos Islands Turtle

The whole place is special and different from anywhere else in the world. The Galápagos Islands inspired Darwin to form his theory of evolution and is a must-visit for anyone wanting to see unique animals, and for any students who are studying conservation or biology. A visit here will make you fall in love with animals even more.

Kenya and Tanzania

Kenya and Tanzania are both incredible countries to see majestic African animals in the wild, especially in  Serengeti National Park in Tanzania and the Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya.

Here you can see the best animals and also rare African animals like a bat-eared fox or black rhino. If you time it right and with a bit of luck, you may be able to experience the Wildebeest Migration.

Elephants in Kenya

The best time to visit these parks is between July and October. Later in the year, you won’t see as many animals. These are probably the most special places in the world you can visit if you want to see wild animals.

Tanzania is also a great place to see hippos, one of the most unusual and dangerous animals in the world. You will definitely need a proper guide for this experience due to the danger involved.

Australia

Some of the most unique animals in the world are in Australia and are lot of them are easy to see in the wild. Kangaroo Island in South Australia is one of the best places to see kangaroos and wallabies in the wild, and you can see koalas in Great Ottway National Park in Victoria.

Kangaroo at Jervis Bay

One of the most unusual animals to see is the platypus. These duck-billed mammals are notoriously shy and can be hard to see in the wild, but if you have patience and time, it is definitely worth trying to see them.

Alaska

Alaska is one of the best places to see animals in the wild as it is a vast land with not a lot of people. In Alaska, you can see bears, wolves, moose, marmots, wolverines, sea lions, whales, sea otters, caribou, bald eagles and so much more.

Caribou at Savage River in Denali National Park

I highly recommend a visit to Denali National Park to see a lot of wild animals in one place. Hiking here is an incredible experience.

The Final Word

If you want to see majestic animals in their natural habitat and not in zoos, these places do deserve your attention. They are special and they will help you see something that you won’t be able to see in the wild in your home country.

If you are a student, you can take a break from classes to learn more in the field as well as have life-changing experiences and memories to last a lifetime.
