Seville is also where the renowned Sevilla football team is located.
Semana Santa, also known as Holy Week, is one of the most significant occasions in Seville. There are large-scale religious parades held here a week before the Catholic Easter holiday. Bullfights and dancers are part of the festival’s entertainment.
If you can’t make it for Holy Week, don’t worry; the Feria de Abril, an April fair with a large party and entertaining folk events, is held two weeks after Easter.
Marseille, France
Marseille is one of France’s most charming cities. According to a local tradition, Hypatia, the daughter of Nan, monarch of the Ligurians, and the Greek Protis were in love. The Greeks arrived on the coast of Provence just as monarch Nan was preparing to wed off his daughter.
He convened a dinner where Hypatia would select her husband in order to accomplish this. She presented her glass of wine to the Greek Protis. As a wedding present, the pair was given a portion of the shore, where they established Massilia.
Marseille is now a well-loved vacation destination in Europe with stunning buildings and a wealth of activities.
Alicante, Spain
The urban design of the Spanish city of Alicante is its primary draw. It combines Gothic and Greek, Moorish and Romanesque, and Baroque and Art Nouveau forms.

Lisbon, Portugal

Athens, Greece
Greece’s largest city has a subtropical semi-desert environment with very little rain and no frost. It can get very hot here in summer so if you start to overheat, we advise heading indoors to visit the National Archaeological Museum and the Acropolis Museum, both of which have air conditioning and a good collection of statuary, particularly from the Archaic era.
If you have more time in Greece, I highly recommend adding Crete to your itinerary as well.
Nice, France
Nice is one of the most iconic cities in the French Rivera and life revolves around the beach here. Eat incredible French dishes, lay a towel out on the pebbled beach, and maybe even parasail if you are up for an adventure.
