Traveling as a family is an ideal way to foster deeper bonds and create more learning experiences for your kids. But your top priority as a parent is ensuring their safety while on vacation abroad. Fortunately, there are several safe travel destinations your kids will love.
From enchanting theme parks to educational opportunities and wildlife encounters, the world is their oyster. Here are the top travel destinations where you can enjoy your family vacation without worrying about your safety.
Iceland: Adventure and Natural Wonders in a Safe Environment
Iceland is known for its friendly inhabitants, peaceful lifestyle, and fresh, clean air. It’s also ideal for traveling with kids.
Geothermal Pools and Hot Springs
Iceland has an abundance of geothermal pools. Every village has at least one! Our favorite is the Blue Lagoon in Grindavík, close to Keflavík International Airport and about 45 minutes drive from the nation’s capital, Reykjavik.
With its child-friendly facilities, it’s the perfect Icelandic family vacation destination.
Natural Landscapes
Kids love sea life, and a trip to any aquarium is always a safe bet. But if you want to take it a step further, take them whale-watching in Iceland. A whale-watching tour from Reykjavik with an established tour company is an experience they’ll never forget.
The best time to do this is from April to late September/ early October. The months of June, July, and August are the peak whale-watching season, although this may mean larger crowds than usual.
Singapore: The Perfect Blend of Adventure and Safety
The Republic of Singapore is a modern, efficient place many ex-pats call their new home. There are several must-see spots for solo travelers. But Singapore is also a suitable destination for a vacation with your children.
Kid-friendly Attractions
In Singapore’s downtown Marina Bay, you’ll find the Gardens By The Bay. Set on 101 hectares, these three waterfront gardens are a spectacle of exotic plants, garden sculptures, and child-friendly entertainment.
Safe & Clean
Singapore has a good reputation for safety and has some of the lowest crime rates not just in Asia, but the world. Coupled with the plentiful clean and well-maintained public spaces, it’s the perfect Asian vacation destination to travel to with kids.
Enjoy a meal together in a safe, child-friendly space at The Pantry on Dempsey Road. Let the kids play in the treehouse playground and work up an appetite, before dining al fresco as a family nestled in a natural paradise.
Sydney, Australia: A Diverse and Exciting Destination
In Australia, you’ll discover natural beauty, diverse flora and fauna, and adorable animals native to the country. But this land down under also offers plenty of cultural and family-friendly attractions. Whatever your interests, there are many reasons to love Sydney, Australia. And we’re confident your kids will agree.
